Pathan Release: Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathan has been released at the box office after all the controversies. The film is also getting a lot of love from the audience and its magic is also visible at the box office. Before the release of the film, many Hindu organizations protested against some of its scenes and demanded its removal. Although the makers sent the film directly to the censor board without giving any response on this.

Censor board made many changes

According to a report in Hindustan Times, the Central Board of Film Certification gave the film a UA certificate after ten cuts. These include the removal of close-up shots of the main Deepika Padukone and changes made in some of the dialogues of the film.

The controversial song Bersham Rang has at least three changes – “butt exposure, side-pose and some sensuous steps included.” A report in Bollywood Hungama shared the details of the ten cuts suggested by the CBFC, which have been included in the final cut for the theatrical release of Pathan. The report said that the certificate did not mention whether her bikini was removed or not, which was disputed. Although the film has been released and the saffron bikini has not been removed from it.

Changes in dialogues as well

In the film, the word ‘Raw’ was replaced with ‘Humre’ and ‘Langde Lulle’ was replaced with ‘Toote Phute’. The word ‘PMO’ has been dropped and the word ‘PM’ has been changed to President or Minister at 13 different places. The word Shrimati Bharatmata has been changed to Our Mother India and ‘Ashok Chakra’ has been changed to Veer Award. The term KGB was replaced with SBU. In one dialogue, the word souch was changed to drink and the reference to Russia was also removed.
